Your career guide

Not sure which degree to choose? guidu helps you.

There's no questionnaire here: you play. In a few minutes you walk away with a profession that looks like you and the degree that leads there.

guidu is a career app on its way to the app stores. Here on the site you can already try a piece of it.

Hi, I'm guidu. Drag into the backpack whatever feels like you.

Card 1 of 6

Spending hours chasing an answer, piecing clues together until it all makes sense

Your backpack, just getting started

0 things in your backpack

There's no right or wrong. Rather not drag? The buttons do the same thing.

What just happened

Nobody asked you a thing. And guidu already knows you.

All you did was choose what feels like you. Meanwhile your backpack filled up — and in the app it never empties.

Play the cards up there and whatever is yours shows up here.

How it works

Five steps. The first takes two minutes.

  1. Play the cardsEveryday situations. You drag into the backpack whatever feels like you.
  2. It's a matchA profession that looks like you, and the degree that leads there.
  3. See the pathsEvery career that fits, closest first, each with its degree.
  4. Step into the seriesThe career map: episode by episode, from day one to the end of the season.
  5. Live a sceneA real situation from the job. You decide what you would do.

The match

A profession that looks like you, and the degree that leads there.

The match comes from guidu's own algorithm, which crosses what you chose with a base of careers and degrees kept by our data team. It shows you the profession and, right below it, the degree that opens that door — the way it appears in Brazil's university admissions.

You keep the options that make sense and come back to them whenever you want.

After the match

Before you choose, you live a day in the job.

The match is the beginning. From there you step into that career's series: short episodes with situations that really happen in that job. You decide what you would do, and guidu shows you what that choice means in there.

Each episode has three or four scenes, with room for a thirty-second break in between.

At the end of each episode two things show up: how much it weighed on you and how much it was worth. It isn't a score, and there is no right or wrong — it's your reaction.

You move forward

Every scene you live earns steps. They show how far you have walked in that career, and they never go backwards.

You learn by doing

Whatever you use to solve the scenes goes into your backpack as a tool. Not theory: what that job actually asks for.

You understand it from the inside

In the end you know what the profession is like day to day — not just what its description says.

Questions everybody asks

Still unsure?

I don't know which degree to choose. Where do I start?

With what you already like doing, not with a list of professions. On guidu you play a few cards, see what shows up in your backpack and get a profession that fits — along with the degree that leads there.

Is guidu a career aptitude test?

No. An aptitude test asks whether you are organised and hands you a label. On guidu you play, you choose what feels like you, and that is what shows your path. Nobody gets a report, a score or a personality type.

Is it useful for the national exam?

It is, and that is who it was built for first. You keep up to two options and get to the application knowing what each degree means for your life.

Is it free?

Discovering is free: playing, seeing your backpack and getting every match.

I'm 16. Can I use it?

You can. guidu was built for people deciding on a career right now, and accounts for 16 and 17 year olds have protection rules of their own: see which ones.
